At grandson Noel's house for Thanksgiving, we tried again, this time with the aid of Steve Spangler's Geyser Tube from Hobby Lobby. It turned out to be all that was promised -- 25 feet or more!

I came across this pic of Noel posted on Suzy's blog. It reminded me of something I'd seen a long time ago.

So I dug through some scans I'd made of Jimmy's art work he did for Grandma Jack back in 1990 or so. Not exactly the same, but similar leap, shadow, and happy face!

Sierra Vista Snow

A "snowstorm" came to Sierra Vista. Not much. Lots of wind, though. This palm outside my window shows all that was left by mid-morning.

Beach Vacation 2009

Noel Roger joins the family

Noel Roger, son of Suzy and Todd, and my grandson is the newest member of our family.

Born November 5, 2007 at 9:13 AM in Wilmington, NC, he weighs 9 pounds 3 ounces, and is 20 inches long. He and his mom are doing well. Happy Birthday, Noel!

I re-organized my room to let in more light and air. I pulled out this animal print stuff I'd had packed away for years, and voila! Safari Room.

Bibim Bap Week

I hereby declare this week Bibim Bap Week. This is my favorite Korean food from my month-long visit to Korea two years ago. The idea of a special week of this was inspired by an article in the Phoenix Republic about a couple of Korean restaurants in the area. Got me thinking about that popular dish... had to go in search of the best in the area.
Three days and three lunches of Bibim Bap later, the winner is Chodang Tofu & B.B.Q. in Chandler, AZ.
OK, I may have this out of my system before the week is out!

Bumble Bee Hat

Today is the coldest day of the year, but Charlie has his Bumble Bee hat to keep him warm. This took a lot less time to make than that crazy afghan. Charlie likes it as a toy. I'm not sure he's that keen on wearing it as a hat!

Finally done! Started in Oct 2005... 16 months later, I finally finished Charlie's crocheted afgan. It was supposed to be for when he was born, March 29, 2006. Now we'll make it his first birthday present. Love you, Charlie!
